Reports: Computer System

RGL utilises an integrated repair management system that provides full business functionality, including:

  • Complex work/repair management
  • Inventory, procurement and subcontractor control
  • Integrated financials
  • Technical help desk functionality
  • Online reporting

The database (Dispatch 1) has been extensively modified to meet RGL’s business needs.  We employ two people to maintain and develop the system.

The computer system is used to track all items within the repair process.  Bar-coding is used extensively to keep the data entry simple and to minimise errors.

RGL deploys an extensive forecasting and procurement methodology that utilises MRP style disciplines which are an integral part of RGL’s computer system.  RGL is often utilised by the manufacturer to support and extend product life cycles, therefore a significant emphasis is placed on holding the appropriate number and type of components.
